The Lore of idea Three

Even though we are only making a two minute opening to a film that will never be made, we have to think about the whole story so that it makes as much sense as possible. And so we know why we are doing certain things so the story is not patchy and incoherent.

Our story is about A girl that goes missing one day. Three friends Alisha, Morgan and Yasmin are taking their usual route, through Enfield town park on the way home together. They happened to be filming their walk because as teenagers of the 21st century, this is a social norm and they may have wanted to archive this night because it was particularly enjoyable. They say good bye to Yasmin as she journeys the rest of her way back home, solo. The two remaining girls, Alisha and Morgan, make their own way home. Then proceed to school the next day, where Yasmin is not. She does not return back to school for a couple of days. So the girls visit Yasmins mothers house to see if she was okay. Yasmins parents are split up and she lives with her Father. Her mother is also unaware of Yasmins whereabouts. They report to the police and give their statements. Which we are planning to be played in the background of our video. The police follow their normal procedures when looking for a missing person. Yasmin went missing in 2015, our movie takes place in 2016. The character that we film in the opening is a private investigator. Yasmin's mother was unhappy with the lack of progress and empathy shown by the metropolitan police, so after a year of no progress she scours the internet in search of extra help. She finds a suspicious website which seems to be offering P.I work. The highest rating P.I on the site is an anonymous worker. It would look something like this.
Her mother hires him and he is who we mostly follow in this story. Us, the audience knows what he looks like and so do a few characters in the movie, however, the girls, the police and Yasmin's mother do not. This dramatic irony is a big plot to the story because the P.I, is infact a seventeen year old boy, played by my brother , Kelsey. So to see the juxtaposition of the two lives he lives is very gripping.
The ending of the film doesn't need to be decided, there are heavy clues in the opening that it may be the father that has contributed to Yasmin's disappearance. But are those red herrings?
